chapter 6????????
ummm so.... ive been preaching everyday which is fun, we get nearly 1000 kids every week which is amazing and im starting to build relationships with the kids so every time I go out there its more fun than the time before. Today I had to tell a story with pictures and preach, I was sooooo scared all that drama stuff is so hard and i'm really trying to be like excited and dramatic and enthusiastic all the time its killing me!!!
So Rachel blew me out (only joking!!) bt I got my choccys so THANKYOU!!! and the tea, WOW!! i never thought that id miss tea so much!
Visiting in the bronx is ........interesting....i've seen a lot of things I didnt want to see bt honestly the most disturbing thing to me is how similar everything is to London, its just not a whole heap different which scares me cos it means we're right on their tail and we need to do something about it! Its kina nuts cos you go from one house where they are living in cockroaches in rubbish to another where the dad is a crack dealer and the house looks like the hamptons in the blocks, then to a next house where the dad is watching porn whilst the kids are running around, followed by the next house where the mum is smoking weed and beating the kid and after 4 visits you just wanna scream bt.....you have another 200 to do before you can go home so by the end of the afternoon you just wanna sit on top of a mountain somewhere by yourself. But you cant cos you've got to preach in kids church, drop everyone home, then prepare the lesson for the next day...and start again. Although its tiring i can honestly say that I'm having a great time and God is working in the lives of the children and the parents.
on a lighter note! the weather is amazing, last week it was so cold I was practically an ice block for the week and we had rain storms and snow and it was horrible, then this week its almost back to t-shirt weather, crayzeeeeeeeeeee!
on monday I'm going to Washington DC for the day i'm having tea with Georgie so if you have any questions about ...i dunno... the Iraq war or anything, e-mail them to me and I'll ask him!
Today I wrote an essay and prepared for an exam are they takin the mick? exams bwoy!
I'm collecting a lot of ideas so be prepared for my input at future meetings!
I'm missing home so much, cant wait to come home.
